Dr. Menadue founded ACUTE CARE, INC. premised on the conviction that a regional emergency physician specialty group practice could provide cost effective and humanistic emergency medical care. As the group rapidly expanded, Dr. Menadue has demonstrated a commitment to quality improvement and education.

   Highlights from Dr. Menadue's resume:

   Practicing board certified emergency physician; Fellow, American College of Emergency Physicians; Fellow, American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians. Attorney, Fellow, American College of Legal Medicine; Zealous advocate of ACUTE CARE, INC.'s interests, as well as those of our affiliated hospitals and physicians.

   Dr. Menadue currently serves as an available active staff physician at ACUTE CARE, INC.'s contract facilities. He understands a physician's perspective on skills, knowledge and education because he is a practicing provider of emergency care. Dr. Menadue's experience is derived from work conducted at the ACUTE CARE, INC. affiliated community Emergency Departments. Therefore, he is particularly well positioned to gather and relay information pertaining to the specific educational needs of those who work in that clinical setting.

   PALS Provider, ACLS Provider, Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) Provider, Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Provider.

   Dr. Menadue has informed opinions about educational programs because he has attended these programs and he recognizes their value to the practicing physician. He has been an experienced ACLS Instructor and understands the abilities of both the educator and participant. Dr. Menadue offers an informed physician's viewpoint and strong opinions regarding the validity and usefulness of the emergency medicine oriented courses currently available.

   Physician Peer Review and Legislative Committee.

   Dr. Menadue is involved in the evolution of his profession. He is participating in the administration of the explosive growth in technology, legislation and clinical practice in emergency medicine. Mark Menadue strives to understand and influence the current and future "state of the art" for his field.

   Dr. Menadue is active in the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) at both the state and national levels. He is a member of the Board of Directors for the Iowa Chapter of ACEP and has previously served its President, Immediate Past President, Secretary and Member of the Board of Directors. Dr. Menadue served on the National Reimbursement Committee for ACEP, and has served on the Practice Management Committee for the American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians (ACOEP), and the Medicare Carrier Advisory Committee.

Christian Davies, CPA, CMA, Executive Vice President / Chief Financial Officer has been with ACUTE CARE, INC. since April 2000. Christian brings 20 years of accounting experience to the organization. Christian received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Economics at The University of Iowa. He then went on to obtain his Masters of Accounting and Certification in Management Accounting. In his current position, Christian oversees the financial management of the corporation. Duties include administrative payroll, filing of all payroll taxes, accounts receivable, and invoicing for ACI and all related entities.

Chief Operating Officer

Paul Hudson serves as Chief Operating Officer (COO) for ACUTE CARE, INC. Working closely with Christian Davies, EVP/CFO, Paul is responsible for executive oversight for Operations, Education, Reimbursement / Performance Improvement, Sales / Corporate Development, Client Relations, and Human Resources.

   Mr. Hudson previously worked as a flight paramedic with Life Flight in Des Moines and Mercy Air Life - North in Mason City. He has also served as Chief Operating Officer for Managed Healthcare Systems, Director of Education for ACUTE CARE, INC., and as a paramedic / supervisor for Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames, Iowa.

   Mr. Hudson is board certified in healthcare management as a fellow (FACHE) of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), received his Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Iowa State University and his Masters in Healthcare Administration (MHA) degree from Des Moines University. He is American Heart Association Regional Faculty for Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Basic Life Support (BLS). He is also the author and narrator for ACI's first online CME activity, EMTALA, An Overview.

Stephanie R. Franzwa

Stephanie Franzwa, Assistant Vice President, has been with ACUTE CARE, INC. since May 2000. Stephanie began her ACI career as a Physician Credentialer, and in July 2000, joined the Scheduling Department. In January 2001, she accepted the position of Scheduling Coordinator. With the internal regionalization in November 2003, Stephanie became regional corrdinator over 2 regions. In September 2006, Stephanie accepted the position of Assistant Vice President.

   Stephanie's primary function is to provide oversight and assistance to all memebers of each of the four regions that make up the Operations Department. Stephanie also coordinates completion of physician payroll and reviews hospital billing each month.

Kathy Gissible-Storm, Assistant Vice President, began her ACI career as a Recruitment Specialist in July 2002. With the internal regionalization in November 2003, become one of four Regional Coordinators and later in January 2007, Kathy accepted the Director of Operations position.

   Most recently in October 2008 Kathy accepted the position of Assistant Vice President of Operations. Kathy is responsible for providing oversight and assistance to the Minnesota/Missouri/Oklahoma region as well as the Wisconsin/Virginia/Kentucky/Wyoming/Ohio region.

Assistant Vice President / Corporate Counsel

Jeff Oliver serves as ACUTE CARE, INC.'s (ACI) Assistant Vice President/Corporate Counsel since January of 2005. In his capacity as corporate counsel, Jeff advises the company on compliance, security, regulatory, and privacy issues, as well as working closely with members of the management team to negotiate contracts for the placement of emergency department physicians.

   Additionally, Jeff serves as Assistant Vice President of ACI's Locum Tenens Division, its upcoming Nurse Staffing Division, its upcoming Retail Medicine Division, and of new business division development.

   Prior to coming to ACI, Jeff practiced in the area of Civil Litigation, spanning a broad spectrum of practice areas, including corporate law, insurance defense, collections, contracts, personal injury, and municipal law. While in private practice, Jeff acted as the City Prosecutor for the City of Windsor Heights, Iowa, from 2002-2004.

   Jeff received his Juris Doctor degree from Drake University Law School in 1998, and is licensed to practice law in Iowa and Illinois. He received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1995. He is a member of the Iowa and Polk County Bar Associations.

Joy White, Assistant Vice President, Locums, has been with ACUTE CARE, INC. since February 2006. Joy serves as a client services representative for ACI's affiliated facilities and is also responsible for new business growth. Joy previously served as the Senior Locum Tenens Specialist, and continues to oversee the sales aspect of the Locum Tenens Department.

Jennifer Richards, RN, CPHRM

RN, BS, CPHRM, Assistant Vice President Performance Improvement, Risk Management

Jennifer Richards, RN, BS, CPHRM, Assistant Vice President Performance Improvement, Risk Management, served as Performance Improvement Coordinator for ACUTE CARE, INC. beginning in 2003. In that roll she is responsible for Quality/Risk Management activities, including education, training and counseling of contracted physicians, with an emphasis on medical record documentation. In addition, she assists the Chief Medical Officer in resolving issues related to the quality of care, and in performing focused reviews and audits. She also serves as a clinical liaison between client facilities, contracted physicians and ACI.

   Jennifer previously worked as an RN in the Intensive and Coronary Care Unit and Emergency Department at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames, IA. She also has extensive experience in a variety of outpatient clinical practice settings. She is a member of the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management, Emergency Nurses Association and American Association of Critical Care Nurses. She is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM).

Morgan Hammer, Director of Support Services, began her ACI career as a Credentialer in January 2007. Her additional talents were quickly realized and she was promoted to Physician Scheduler and later was one of our Regional Coordinators for the Eastern Iowa, Missouri, Ohio team. In October 2008, Morgan accepted the Director of Operations position, where she was responsible for providing oversight and assistance to the Eastern Iowa region as well as the Minnesota region. In June 2010, Morgan accepted the Director of Support Services position.

   Morgan is responsible for providing oversight and assistance to the Communications Team.
