PDA Cases and Keyboards

Added 7/14: ClipKee Adds Scroll Wheel to Clip-On Keyboard This PalmInfoCenter.com article describes this new entry into the keyboad marketplave. Just as importantly, it includes links to other articles about similar products.

Added 6/13: Fellowes PDA Type 'N Go(tm) Portable Keyboard with Hard Case. Available through Sears.

"Fellowes has released a combination case and keyboard for the Palm III series (but not the IIIc). The Type 'N Go Portable Keyboard is both a hard case to protect the Palm and a keyboard for text entry. It has keys for all characters, numbers and most commands, including Cut, Paste, and even Select All. "

We purchased this item for trial and found that while it works well, the case and keyboard combination increase the total bulk of the Palm to that of a fairly large paperback novel. We're not sure it is worth the tradeoff. You get a well designed a sturdy case and a comprehensive keyboard that worked with all of our applications. The software installed and synched easily and the Palm snaps in and out without any problem. We believe this would be a nice auxiliary solution for intensive text and numeric data entry. Routine daily operations would not require this adjunct.
